FAQ

What are the payment terms and conditions?
Strictly no refunds for cancellations made within 14 days of a stay. All stays are a 2-day minimum excluding public holidays.
What does it cost to stay?
Our base pricing is for 4 guests and the use of 2 bedrooms and linens for 4. All additional guests and the use of additional beds (for example 4 guests and 3 bedrooms) are charged separately. Costs are available online.
Are pets welcome?
No – we don’t accept pets under any circumstance in order to protect our native wildlife. If you bring a pet you will be asked to leave immediately and no refunds will be provided.
What time is check in and check out?
Self-check in is from 3PM – 8PM and check out is 10am. Late check out can be organised if we don’t have guests checking in that same day and for a small cost.
What food do I need to bring?
We provide the kitchen basics including oil, salt, pepper, tea, herbal tea, coffee and hot chocolate. However, this is a self-catering stay. We can help recommend cafes and restaurants to cater for the everyday or the special occasion (bookings are essential). We rely on off-grid water so please use water sparingly and this is monitored so you don’t run out of water.
What can you access during the stay?
Our farmhouse, Sunday, onsite parking on the driveway and exclusive use of the farm. Note the farm shed and Bubbletents & Tiny Bubble Tent are not included in this stay.
What facilities are provided?
Sunday is a full size 3-bedroom Queenslander with queen beds in each bedroom. Our Sleepout provides 2 double sofa beds. We offer a lounge room, dining room with indoor fireplace, sleepout with 2 sofa beds and small work desk, bathroom with shower (no bath), separate toilet, kitchen (note – no dishwasher), front deck and back deck with outdoor eating area. Note both decks are enclosed and these windows can be opened. We are a shoes off house!
Housekeeping & Cleaning
We expect Sunday to be left in good order for our cleaners to come in and clean and prepare for the next guests. Guests need to wash and wipe up, return everything to where it came from, place wet linens in the bathroom and clean the BBQ thoroughly if this was used. Additional cleaning charges will be applied if our cleaners need to take care of these items. Guest can however request additional cleaning for group or longer stays, or if you just don’t feel like cleaning on departure. Cleaning charges will be provided on request.
Is it cold in the house?

For those people that love crisp winters, fireplaces and toasting marshmallows, we have good news – winters in Tenterfield are cold. Sunday has been insulated top to bottom to help manage the cold in Winter and warmer days in Summer. We love her!

We have equipped the farmhouse with luxurious silk quilts (including a winter weight option to add for subzero evenings) a heater and electric blanket to keep you warm. And we have our outdoor campfire to keep you warm when you are outside (note this is closed during bush fire season and at our discretion). Evenings in the high country are cooler all year round and the weather can change. For Winter we recommend you bring a Winter weight waterproof coat or jacket, scarf, beanie, gloves and thermal wear if you really feel the cold. Also make sure you bring waterproof footwear and warm socks.
What clothes do we bring?
For the cooler months we recommend you bring an outdoor waterproof jacket, warm jacket or fleece, scarf, beanie, gloves plus warm waterproof footwear – if you feel the cold, thermal clothes may be an option. Wintertime temps can drop below zero, so a warm jumper is a must as well. During the warmer months make sure you bring a hat and sturdy enclosed shoes for walking.
Do I need a 4WD?
No, you can reach Sunday by standard 2WD car and the roads here at the farm are easy to navigate. You cannot however drive anywhere else on the farm offroad due to the large and unseen granite boulders. You can also reach scenic drives and national parks by standard car. Some of these roads are unsealed.
Where exactly are you located?
We are located just a short drive from Tenterfield Village – 4.8km and a 7-minute drive. We will provide full details in how to get here in our digital welcome book once you confirm your stay.
Are children welcome?
Yes – children and babies are welcome to stay at Sunday. Note we have two dams – a small dam close to the house and a large and deep dam down the paddock. Children must be supervised at all times. We provide a fireguard and single high-chair (Stokke – not suitable for very young infants). All other infant-related equipment must be provided by parents/caregivers.
Do you have WIFI?
Yes – we have free high speed satellite internet that is available for your stay.
What if there is a bush fire?
We have an Emergency Evacuation Process and Plan fully approved by the Rural Fire Service. Tenterfield has allocated bush fire emergency meeting points and details of what to do in a bush fire are outlined in our digital welcome book.
