Tenterfield is my original home town and Sunday at Mirumiru will be my home away from home when I visit again.
House furnishings are spot on, everything has been thought of and the beds are beautifully comfortable - prepare for a peaceful sleep waking to beautiful nature. I’m hooked and will certainly be back. Cathryn”s communication was spot on from the start which made the booking process so easy. Until next time!
Sunday at Mirumiru is an absolutely beautiful country home to getaway and relax. Only a short drive to town. Cathryn made sure our Christmas in July was just perfect by supplying Xmas tree and decorations. Very comfortable with warm bedding, electric blankets and oil heaters in each bedroom. Wood heater in the living area kept the house nice and warm. Well equipped kitchen with essentials like salt, pepper, spices, tea and coffee. Highly recommend this lovely renovated home.

New England is home to some of the most spectacular rural landscapes and national parks in Australia. By day you have an abundance of waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking tracks and picnic spots to choose from. When you stay at Mirumiru you can visit the world’s largest granite boulder in the country at Bald Rock National Park. Check out Captain Thunderbolt's Hideout and see the caves and rocks the gentleman bushranger used for cover.
HERITAGE VILLAGE
Tenterfield is a truly unique Federation location. The town’s offerings and history include heritage listed landmarks and rich indigenous culture. Today, Tenterfield is carving out a reputation as a haven for adventure, arts and culture. It's close to Queensland's glorious Granite Belt, known for its food and wine. Tenterfield is truly a year round destination – offering four distinct seasons that appeal to everyone. From the pink skies of a granite-tinged sunset in a frosty winter, blazing red and gold hues in autumn to the long balmy days and crisp alpine air of spring and summer, there is a season to suit everyone.
ESCAPE THE CROWDS
Mirumiru is a great destination to escape the crowds. The ever-changing colours of the majestic Mount Mackenzie at your doorstep will keep you enthralled from sunrise to each golden sunset.
ABOUT US
When we first saw our farm it was at the end of one of the region’s most crippling droughts – and during the bushfire season of 2019. The farmhouse was yet to be renovated – and was totally unliveable. And the farm itself was mostly bare dirt, with empty dams and hardly any grass to be seen. But the view was something that had us transfixed from the moment we saw it online and then in person. We looked at each other and knew that we could work our way through the thistles and termite-ridden buildings. In a matter of weeks, the farm was ours and our vision for re-generating a little part of Australia began. It was important for us to build something that everyone – from couples to families – could enjoy as well. Cathryn & Brad, Co-Owners
